How are our report structured?

For non-domestic premises, our reports our written to PAS 79-1:2020 standard. For residential premises, our reports are written to BS 9792:2025 standard.

What is a Responsible Person (RP)?

​Under Article 3 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, A "responsible person" (RP) is the employer, owner, landlord, or occupier with control over a workplace or non-domestic premises, including common areas of multi-occupied residential buildings. 

What is a Fire Risk Assessment?

A fire risk assessment is a mandatory, structured inspection of a premises to identify potential fire hazards, evaluate risks, and implement safety measures to protect people. It is a legal duty for employers, managers, or property owners (the "responsible person") to identify, reduce, and record fire risks, through a five-step process.

Are there penalties for not having a Fire Risk Assessment?

The penalty for not having a ‘suitable and sufficient’ fire risk assessment carried out at your premises can be prosecution, which could result in severe fines being issued. In extreme cases of fire safety negligence, the penalty can be a prison sentence. There is also damage to your business reputation to consider.
